About Us

Conner's Cause for Children helps families with children:

  • With a life-threatening illness
  • 18 years of age or younger
  • Living in San Diego, Imperial, and
    Riverside Counties

These are some of the forms of assistance that Conner’s Cause for Children may be able provide for your family:

  • Transportation and food expenses associated with caring for your child
  • Co-payments for medical care and medication
  • Out of pocket costs for medical equipment not covered by insurance or benefits
  • Out of pocket costs for in home care of your child
  • Increased phone or utility costs associated with caring for your child

Conner’s Cause for Children works closely with families to identify additional sources of support, including referrals to other public and private agencies and foundations. In addition, we advocate with medical and other service providers and insurance companies to negotiate payments, forgive balances or waive penalties. We also seek out in-kind support from the community to help lessen the burden of out of pocket expenses for our families. Each year, Conner’s Cause for Children helps families of children like these: Eva, Luis and Timmy were born with Short Gut Bowel Syndrome and have been in the hospital half of their short lives. Conner's Cause helps pay phone and utility bills when their parents lose time from work so that Eva, Luis and Tommy can receive safe and appropriate care from their families when they come home.

When Alana was suddenly paralyzed with acute transverse myletis, financial assistance from Conner’s Cause made it possible for her mother to stay close to the rehabilitation center in Orange County.

The only place that Marissa can receive CF exacerbation for cystic fibrosis is over 100 miles from her home. Conner’s Cause helps her mother travel and stay with her during her frequent admissions in San Diego..

Conner’s Cause for Children is the only organization providing aid for transportation, lodging and other critical expenses for these families so that these special children can get life-saving specialized treatments or transplants wherever available.
