Come join us for our 15th Annual Benefit Gala "Waves of Love" at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps in La Jolla.
Take a stroll through the Hall of Fishes. Sip
a drink by the Shark Reef and watch the sunset from one of the most beautiful coastal bluffs in San Diego.
With the revenue from this year's Gala, we can continue to meet
the ever increasing needs of area families struggling with the out of pocket costs of caring for a child with a life-threatening illness.

$3000 in gas cards
For families of medically fragile children, every trip to the doctor or hospital is critically important. There is no cutting back on how often or how far parents must drive their children to obtain life sustaining medical treatment.
In
2007, a $50 gas card was sufficient for almost a week's worth of treatments or
visits to the doctor, while a $100 grocery card bought a week's worth
of food. In the summer of 2008, this is no longer true.
Since mid-May, Conner's Cause for Children has distributed over $3000 in gas cards alone to families whose budgets have passed the breaking point. We have sent out hundreds of dollars in grocery gift cards and helped parents of hospitalized children pay for meals and parking fees.
Conner's Cause has also helped families pay for sharp increases in co-payments for office visits, prescription drugs,special equipment and other medical expenses no longer covered by insurance or public benefits. Cutting back on these expenses is simply not an option.
As small as we are, Conner's Cause for Children is the only local resource available for many of these families and we are helping more of them than ever before in our history as an organization. We cannot continue to provide the same levels of service without your help.

Gala Committee
Our Gala Committee needs volunteers immediately to obtain sponsorships and donations, help with a variety of other tasks, including publicity and marketing, event set-up, registration and check out at the event.
2009 Golf Tournament
Where do you think we should have the next Benefit Golf Tournament?Share your opinion and experience and time. We need golfers and non-golfers to help us choose a location and plan our 2009 Golf Tournament.
Host a House Party
Invite your friends and neighbors to learn more about Conner's Cause and help us increase much needed community support.
Conner's Kids
Lemonade stands and other fundraising projects for Conner's Cause for Children teach kids about community service--and help beat those summer boredom blues.

We are families
helping other families in need.
|
 Over fourteen years ago, a group of local families founded Conner's Cause for Children to carry on the legacy of Conner Champ. Each year, Conner's Cause helps over 300 families in three counties take care of their very sick children through financial and in-kind assistance with out of pocket medical costs and simple, but critical expenses such as gas cards, food and utility bills. Conner's Cause is the only area organization offering assistance to these families,regardless of a child's specific diagnosis.
